Emergency lights are the last line of visual defense during a power outage or emergency, ensuring safe evacuation. NFPA 101 strictly mandates routine testing and maintenance for all emergency lighting and exit signs. Failure to perform and document the inspection is a code violation and could lead to fines, temporary closure, or failure of ouccepancy permits.

Training is the most effective and critical componet of fire safety education. Participants are given the oppority to safely operate a real fire extinguisher to extinguish a controlled fire. Important to eliminate hesitation, build confidence, and ensure muscle memory takes over during a high-stress situation.
